Goodman Group was looking for sheer innovation in building a location that was not just functional for its commercial needs, but it needed to look impressive, too. With modern business, even commercial properties needs to look and feel comfortable, both as a way of impressing visitors, and bolstering staff morale.
With Goodman Group’s Botany location, Innovative Aluminium and Glass was contracted for a top-to-bottom project that included all external and internal aluminium and glass – including the splash backs in the kitchens and the mirrors in the bathrooms. There was an additional need for double hinged entry doors with an industrial wind resistance door closing mechanic, and toughened glass for the external glazing. The goal for Goodman Group was to have a building that looked modern, with plenty of natural light coming into the building through wall-to-wall windows. But equally, the work needed to stand the test of time regardless of the conditions. As a large building with a lot of glass, the robustness of the material was essential in delivering an office space that would last Goodman Group for a long time into the future.

As the final cherry on the cake, Goodman Group wanted an outdoor area that would look natural and give visitors and staff alike a sensation of being back to nature. The natural thought here is to install a wooden outdoor area, but for the purposes of the building, wood would not have been the ideal material. Instead, there is a very popular aluminium style that creates the visual impression of a wooden construction, while at the same time providing the kind of robustness and longevity that aluminium offers over wood. The result is a gorgeous, innovative outdoor area that complements the design of the building perfectly while also lending the area a naturalistic vibe and visual variety.
As important as innovation was to Goodman Group, it was equally important that the work be done on specification, and on time and budget. Innovative Aluminium and Glass was chosen for this project on our proven ability to deliver unique and custom projects in the most timely and efficient manner.
